Chartered accountant who has held several senior positions in finance and has been a member of a number of boards, mainly in the City of London.

Leader of City of Edinburgh Council from May 2012 until May 2017 when he stood down from elected office. Recently appointed as Convener of the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations.

Was a Chief Officer in Northern Constabulary and the Police Service of Scotland. Also served for three years as Assistant Inspector of Constabulary with HMICS.

An academic with background in Political Science, Economics and Law, researched public service innovation and the role of the third sector in the modern welfare state around the world. Non-Executive Member to the Office of the Scottish Charity
Regulator.

Experienced Non-Executive Director whose current appointments include Wheatley Group, Phoenix Group (IGC) and Airdrie Savings Bank. Also a Member of the Council of the Chartered Bank Institute and of the ICAS Ethics Committee.

Previously Vice Chair of NHS Grampian Board and Chair of Moray Integration Joint Board. Has a scientific background with a successful career in commercial sales.

After working as an accountant in financial services, moved to an academic post at Napier University as Head of Accounting and Finance and lectured internationally.

Has worked extensively in health and social care nationally and internationally. Previously worked as Director of Social Work in Fife and in East Ayrshire, and most recently as Interim Director of Health and Social Care Integration in Fife.

Chief Executive of North Ayrshire Council from 2009 to 2018, and has had several other senior positions including Chair of SOLACE, a Director of the Improvement Service and of Irvine Bay Urban Regeneration Company.

Chair of Northern Ireland's Education Authority, and a member of the National Oversight and Audit Commission in the Republic of Ireland. Former chief executive of Derry City Council.

Emeritus Professor of Accounting, University of Edinburgh. Has sat on several board and advisory groups in the public sector.

Chartered Surveyor with extensive experience in team development and developing strategies to address gender equality and occupational segregation. Currently a surveyor member on the Private rented Housing Panel and a member of the Fife Valuation Appeal Committee.
