Help us be world class

Help us be world class

We’re Scotland’s public sector auditor. We scrutinise how around £40bn of public money is spent each year and how public services are performing.

We’re independent of the Government and our work is crucial to ensuring public services are delivered well. There’s plenty of change ahead and we’re determined to provide a world class service.

We already employ about 280 talented professionals and we’re looking for people to join us in Senior Auditor and Qualified Auditor roles.

Senior Auditor

This role has allowed me to lead on audits for both large and small public sector bodies mainly across the central government sector. The variety of work means that every day presents new challenges, and that’s what I find great about the role. I can find myself presenting to audit committees, meeting senior staff in the audited bodies or working at Audit Scotland with groups of trainees.

Audit Scotland has provided me with both technical and personal development training, and this has really supported me in my day to day work.

Stephanie Harold, Senior Auditor

Qualified Auditor

During my time at Audit Scotland I have worked across several audits which has allowed me to gain valuable experience in health and local government sectors. Working on a variety of audits, both as a lead and as a member of the team, has helped my personal development and allowed me to build my skills managing relations with key client staff.

I’ve also had the opportunity to work with new trainees. Being able to support them has been a rewarding experience.

Taiba Hussain, Auditor
