Report: Managing hospital admissions and discharges

Over 30 recommendations to streamline the admission of emergency patients and to ensure that patients do not stay in hospital longer than they need to are made in this report. The recommendations are based on good practice found in some acute trusts across Scotland. The report says that all trust should examine their procedures for admitting and discharging patients and make improvements where they can.
